Meet The Team
Kim Krekeler
Owner, Dermal Clinician & Physiotherapist
Kim has an impressive career in the beauty industry spanning over 35 years. She first began her journey in Otago while studying to be a physiotherapist, and after graduation, she combined her two passions, physiotherapy, the physical rehabilitation of her clients and beauty, the repair of skin dysfunctions, creating a unique approach to skincare. Her goal has always been to make a significant long-term difference in someone else's life, and her personal experience with severe and ongoing skin issues and multiple injuries from a young age has driven her ambition.
Kim has received numerous awards for her outstanding work in the beauty industry, including the prestigious Probeauty High Performance Practitioner of the Year for 2023, 2022 and 2021, plus a Highly Commended in 2023, NZ DermapenWorld High Performance Practitioner of the Year 2022 and 2nd Runner Up award 2022, Highly Commended 2023. The Observ Best Before & After Entry 2021, and double Dermapenworld Highly Commended Awards 2020. These accolades are derived from clinical outcomes. In 2024 Kim also received Probeauty Retail Therapist of the Year.
Kim has also received the Hastings City Business "Best Client Experience" Award, voted by public submission and "Best in Professional Services". In 2024 Kim became the first recipient of Hastings City Business "Employer of the Year" Award and the Clinic was runner up to their category. Kim also received a Legacy Award in the 2024 BOSS Coaching Awards.
Kim is a respected speaker at both national and international conferences, where she shares her knowledge and expertise with her peers in both the physiotherapy and beauty industries. She has also published work that is now used as a resource to inspire other professionals and expand their knowledge base. In 2023 she was a keynote speaker in the Probeauty Uni Day, celebrating their 25th years in business.
Kim is committed to providing expert-level information that is validated by science and/or clinical evidence. She is known for her 'go the extra mile' efforts and attitude, and she strives to educate her staff to take on a similar ethos to that of her own.
When not at work, Kim enjoys spending her free time with her Husband and their 2 sons when they are home from University. Often she's off the grid at Whangaehu Beach.

Krysten McIntyre
Senior Beauty Therapist
Prior to choosing Beauty Therapy as a career, Krysten spent a year training to become a chef before enrolling in the Diploma of Beauty and Body Therapy.
With a particular interest in skin, Krysten also loves giving manicures and pedicures. The best part of Beauty Therapy for Krysten is having a day filled with a variety of different treatments.
In 2024 Krysten achieved First Runner Up in the Probeauty High Performance Practitioner of the Year, after receiving a Highly Commended in the 2023 Awards.
The calm and relaxing environment that Cameo provides is better suited to Krysten's personality along with her love of making people feel amazing.
Krysten and her husband have recently welcomed their first baby, a son. Prior to his arrival, when not at work, Krysten would most likely be found doing renovations on her new first home, or spending time with her cat baby Rhaegar.
Shauna Baxter-Love
Senior Beauty Therapist
From an intermediate age Shauna has struggled with her own skin insecurities. This meant Shauna made the decision to learn anything and everything there is to know about skin. Shauna wanted to able to pass on her knowledge to others struggling the same insecurities and help to boost their self confidence.
Shauna gained her Beauty Certification and Diploma but her passion for the industry grew enormously, after making the move to Cameo in 2021. In 2023 Shauna championed a new method of treating pigmentation when she combined a O'Cosmedic Enzyme with a G&M Neuro-cosmedic Balm, giving a dramatic result which has been adopted by the Clinic and is now promoted within the industry.
Outside of work Shauna spends her time with her partner and their baby boy and has a passion for fitness and boxing.
Jontelle Turvey
Senior Beauty Therapist
With 11 years in the beauty industry, including running her own studio, Jontelle is passionate about educating clients on skincare and delivering advanced treatments like skin needling. She also excels in electrolysis hair removal and is dedicated to setting and achieving goals with her clients.
When she’s not enhancing beauty at Cameo, Jontelle enjoys spending quality time with her family—partner, daughter, and son. She’s also a fan of reformer pilates and family bike rides.
