Meet The Team

Kim Krekeler

Owner, Dermal Clinician & Physiotherapist


Kim has an impressive career in the beauty industry spanning over 35 years. She first began her journey in Otago while studying to be a physiotherapist, and after graduation, she combined her two passions, physiotherapy, the physical rehabilitation of her clients and beauty, the repair of skin dysfunctions, creating a unique approach to skincare. Her goal has always been to make a significant long-term difference in someone else's life, and her personal experience with severe and ongoing skin issues and multiple injuries from a young age has driven her ambition.

Kim has received numerous awards for her outstanding work in the beauty industry, including the prestigious  Probeauty High Performance Practitioner of the Year for  2024, 2023, 2022 and 2021, plus a Highly Commended in 2023, 2024 & 2025, NZ DermapenWorld High Performance Practitioner of the Year 2022 and 2nd Runner Up award 2022, Highly Commended 2023 &24. The Observ Best Before & After Entry 2021, and double Dermapenworld Highly Commended Awards 2020. These accolades are derived from clinical outcomes.  In 2024 Kim also received Probeauty Retail Therapist of the Year.

Kim has also received the Hastings City Business "Best Client Experience" Award, voted by public submission and "Best in Professional Services". In 2024 Kim became the first recipient of Hastings City Business "Employer of the Year" Award and the Clinic was runner up to their category.  Kim also received a Legacy Award in the 2024 BOSS Coaching Awards.

Kim is a respected speaker at both national and international conferences, where she shares her knowledge and expertise with her peers in both the physiotherapy and beauty industries. She has also published work that is now used as a resource to inspire other professionals and expand their knowledge base. In 2023 she was a keynote speaker in the Probeauty Uni Day, celebrating their 25th years in business.

Kim is committed to providing expert-level information that is validated by science and/or clinical evidence. She is known for her 'go the extra mile' efforts and attitude, and she strives to educate her staff to take on a similar ethos to that of her own.

When not at work, Kim enjoys spending her free time with her Husband and their 2 sons when they are home from University.  Often she's off the grid at Whangaehu Beach.
